(nee Farms) On May 20, 2017 of West Berlin, NJ. died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Age 78 years. Beloved wife of 61 years of Charles J. Howard, Jr. Devoted mother of Charles, III (Cathy), Dale (Debra) and Adrianne. Treasured grandmother "G" of Christie Conn (Mike), Scott Howard (Riley) and Christopher. Loving great grandmother "GG" of Michael & Makayla Conn. Dear sister of Alan Farms (Ruth) and Paul Farms. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Janet was born in Camden and grew up in West Berlin where she continued raising generations of her family. She was well known in the community especially for her candy creations at Weingert's candy, her days spent working in the kitchen at Berlin Twp. Schools, and her beautiful and delicious cakes and bake goods. Janet spent much of her life helping to raise her nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren providing memories that will be treasured for years to come. She most enjoyed spending time with those who meant the most to her. Janet was a faithful member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church where she helped with many of their events and was a key contributor to their Gift program. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday morning 10:00AM-11:00AM Holy Communion Lutheran Church 442 Rt.73 South Berlin, NJ 08009. Memorial service 11:00AM. Cremation and interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers contributions to Holy Communion Lutheran Church at the above address would be appreciated.
