Obituary of Charles Rogers
Monday, December 24, 2018, Charles F Rogers Sr of Lindenwold, NJ passed away peacefully at age 88. Born December 4, 1930.
On April 22, 1950 he married his soul mate Anna Marie Campione of Philadelphia, Pa. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Anna his father, Joseph Rogers and his Mother, Gertrude all from Philadelphia, Pa.
Father of April Rogers-Weyh of Fort Myers, Florida, Cheryl Moyer (David) of Wesley Chapel Florida, Charles F. Rogers, Jr. (Patricia) of Eugene, Oregon and John Wayne Rogers, (Jeanne) of Martha’s Vineyard . Proud Grandfather of 10. Great Grandfather 11, Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
In his later years Charlie had a passion for painting and tinkering. He also loved to learn new things. From an early age he was extremely mechanically inclined. Charlie combined his two favorite hobbies to create extraordinary art, Fabrication and several inventions.
Charlie took much pride in being a Mummer. His father, uncles, brothers, sons nephews and even his granddaughters had a long history of involvement and participation in the annual Philadelphia Mummers Day Parade.
Charlie was also an avid music lover and revered the nostalgic performers of his era. Charlie was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
